I love you. There I've said it.
I love that your family and sweetheart
mean more to you than anything. I love that you take care
and sacrifice for them. I love that you have persevered and
overcome all the challenges in your life and arrived here to
another Valentine's Day.
If I had gotten this letter from you,
my first thought would be, “Well, it helps that we don’t
know each other.” I try to keep things "light hearted" you
know. My point is really that I want you to make sure that
you hear I Love You, and that most of all I want this to be
a reminder to you to show each and every person you care
about that you love them this Valentine’s. Life is short,
and you never know when you might not get another chance.
This was really driven home to me personally the first week
of January.
How a “Broken Heart” nearly ruined my
birthday.
It was about 6:00am, and I had gotten
up wandering around trying to get focused on the beginning
my day (it was my birthday actually), when the phone rang. I
thought well someone was thinking of me early and wanted to
wish me a happy birthday! My excitement was replaced with
shock when I answered the phone and it was my Dad in a weak
voice. He said you better get up to the house, “it’s your
Mother, she wanted me to call you, she’s I bad shape and
not well at all. I have called an ambulance, you better
hurry.” Obviously I was in shock and terrified. I just
spoke with my Mother the evening before and she seemed fine.
My mind was a jumble as I raced to my parent’s home. The
ambulance was already there. You can imagine all the
thoughts rolling in my mind. I couldn’t imagine losing her.
What would/could I do?
I was very lucky that day. After a day
in the hospital of tests and treatment, it was determined
that she had a heart attack due to a blood clot. The
cardiologist told us that the vast majority of these sorts
of cases ended in death. No more “I Love You”. My Mom’s
heart attack was very real and put into perspective for me
just how suddenly your life can chance. You better believe
that I make an extra effort to tell her and everyone else
how I feel about them, how much they mean to me just as
often as I can. I want to make sure I preserve and treasure
every moment because.
It made me realized how unbelievably
lucky I am to do what I do for a living. Don't wait one more
minute to call us to chat about a portrait of you and your
sweetheart! Call 624-4029 (toll free

Things can change in a Heartbeat.
As you can imagine, I have been doing a
lot of reflecting. I looked with renewed intensity at all
the photographs that we have of my family. Not nearly enough
of Mom, or us together as a family when we were all younger
I thought. I have made up for that over the last 20 years
myself, but one of things we never did much when we were
kids was go to a studio to have portraits created of our
family. That’s why it is such a passion of mine to provide
other families with something that we never had. It has
often been said that I care too much. Maybe so, but it truly
hurts me to know that one day you might come to a moment of
change in your life, not be as lucky as I was, and
realize too late that you don’t have enough photographs of
those you truly love, all because you just never got
around to it.
In the old days, it was a hassle to a
studio and wait and have the session, then come back and
take proofs home and have to decide and spend more time
waiting. It used to take weeks! At Forever Yours Portraits
we have put our hearts and souls into eliminating the
inconveniences as much as humanly possible. We utilize
appointments (no double booking) to eliminate waiting. You
view the photos right after the session and order the
portraits right then, where we can give you expert advice if
you have trouble deciding. We even print them and deliver
the finished portraits on Professional Kodak 100 year
portrait paper before you leave the studio. All the same
day, in as little as 30 minutes.
We even take all the risk. If you don’t
love the portraits when you view them right after the
session, you don’t owe us a dime. We’ll shake hands and part
as friends.
Life is to Short. Don’t put off doing
this one thing that will multiply in value as time goes
on...
So you see, I and everyone here at
Forever Yours Portraits does Love You, even if we don’t know
you. We love you so much that we commit our hearts and souls
every day to making sure that when a day of change comes to
you, and you are aching for someone to whisper those three
words to you, all you will have to do is look on your wall
and see “I Love You” beaming back at you from the portraits
of those you care more for than anything in this world.
Make the time
to create a really special portrait of those that matter
most to you, not for me, but for you and your family. It's
the single best day to say "Happy Valentines Day, I love
you". And you know what, that portrait and the time you were
together creating it will last forever.
